Barra Lodge Beach and Dive Resort near Inhambane, Mozambique offers fully catered and self catering accommodation and is perfect for a family beach holiday, vacation, honeymoon or diving holiday with world class Whale Sharks and Manta Rays diving at your doorstep.
Set in one of the most picturesque areas in Mozambique with spectacular views of pristine beaches and the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean this is an ideal holiday vacation destination.
The lodge is nestled amongst groves of coconut trees and the warm Indian Ocean offers safe bathing all year round. Wide open, sun-drenched beaches offer endless hours of strolling pleasure. The Casitas are fitted with two beds, esnuite bathroom and all have sea views and are a stone throw from the beach.

- Activities - Barra Lodge is not just a dive resort and also caters for a whole host of other activities and interests, so there is plenty for you to do when you are not under the water. Snorkelling, ocean safaris, charter boat, deep-sea fishing, dhow trips, salt water mangrove excursions, sightseeing, horse riding, quad bikes, restaurant, beach bar
- Restaurant - While you relax to the sight and sound of the ocean, indulge your taste buds at our restaurant. Fresh seafood dominates the menu with prawns, calamari and fresh line fish remaining the ever-popular favourites. Enjoy your meal indoors or outdoors on the patio overlooking the pool.
- Beach Bar - A very popular meeting point right on the main beach. Here you are invited to gather in the evenings to watch the beautiful sunsets, participate in beach volley ball, pub games or simply sip and enjoy your favourite drink. The well stocked bar is a popular gathering point attracting guests to share their days experiences. Every Wednesday and Saturday evening Barra Lodge boasts a sumptuous buffet dinner served in the beach bar while enjoying live Mozambican entertainment. The beach bar is open daily and offers drinks, light meals and fresh pizza’s allowing one to enjoy all day on the beach.
- Traditional Casitas are made of thatch, brick and reeds creating a charming atmosphere.
- Some have sea views and all are a stone's throw from the beach. Barra has 20 family casita's. All casita's have 1 double bed and 2 single beds as well as en-suite shower, toilet, handbasin.
- All bedding and mosquito nets are supplied and rooms are serviced daily. Tea & coffee is also available in the rooms.
- All rooms have a fan.
